SCRIPT 1
A Former Listowel student is fighting back against bullies-- the only way he knows how.
Robbie Frennette has created a web-site-- www.bullyingcanada.ca -- It's designed as a gathering place for victims to discuss how their lives have been impacted by violence and how they can make a change for the better.
Frennette says his friend from Listowel can't go to a regular school anymore because of bullies-- He says it's just one example that inspired him to send his message world wide.
"It's great to see how much dedication she really has," says Frennette. " It's because of the amount of work that goes behind home-schooling. She has less interaction with other students. She probably won't be able to go back into a school setting for the rest of her high school career."
Frennette, now a grade twelve student living in New Brunswick, has received letters of support from the Premiers of New Brunswich and Ontario-- he says now he wants Prime Minister Stephan Harper on board.
He says the web-site will hopefully demonstrate to bullies that victims aren't helpless and he wants them to know violence is a senseless act that leaves a permanent mark of their prey.
SCRIPT 2
A Former Listowel resident and anti-bullying activist hopes his new web-site will help bullies realize the pen is mightier than the sword.
Eighteen year old Robbie Frennette is taking his message to the world-wide-web to help unite victims and generate discussion focused on stopping the violence.
He says he's amazed New Brunswick Premier Shawn Graham and Ontario Premier Dalton Mc Guinty are giving the web-site a shot in the arm.
"He has (Mc Guinty) has contacted our web-site and asked how he could be in full support of us, along with the Premier of new Brunswick," says Frennette. "So with those two politicans on board we will be able to expand out web-site."
Frennette says he also hopes the web-site-- www.bullyingcanada.ca -- will demonstrate to bullies that there are other ways to make an impression without hitting or ridiculing .
SCRIPT 3
The Premiers of New Brunswick and Ontario are supporting a former Listowel resident in a crusade to stop bullying.
Robbie Frennette, a grade twelve student now living on the east coast, has developed a new web-site for victims to gather and share their stories.
He says the endorsement of provincial leaders Dalton Mc Guinty and Shawn Graham is just the beginning-- he says he wants Prime Minster Stephan Harper to join the ranks as well.
Frennette lives with Cerebral Palsy-- a condition that make him stand-out amongst most people his age-- he says he became tired of being picked-on for walking with a limp but he wasn't sure what to do.
Frennette was inspired to develop the site- www.bullyingcanada.ca -- because it didn't take him long to realize he's not alone.
He hopes the web-site will demonstrate to bullies that violence is a senseless act that leaves a permanent mark of their prey.
